A Successful Business Person With Heart!

Keith Bean at Bean Chevrolet Buick GM in Carleton Place came to the rescue on Saturday.  We had a bit of a crisis on our hands when we were unable to rent the seven-passenger van for a tour that was beginning in less than an hour.  Keith Bean didn’t know me personally but when I explained who I was and our problem, he came to the rescue and loaned us his 7-passenger shuttle vehicle right on the spot!  He sells cars.  He doesn’t rent them! He didn’t need to do this for us but he is obviously a caring business owner. We want to thank Keith Bean for his generosity and the next time you are looking for a car I would check out www.beancars.ca.

BEING RECOGNIZED IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU THINK

Best New Company Nomination Video

We were so proud to show off our small town of Almonte in 2017, our first year of business. Our food partners have some amazing cuisine and beverages to offer in this gorgeous, historical town. We especially love that our guests can meet and chat with the owners, chefs and makers of their fine food and drink. Our belief that we could put on a quality walking food tour that people would enjoy was validated with plenty of interest shown and many impressed tour guests.

Ottawa Tourism seemed to agree since The Good Food Tour was nominated for New Company of the Year! We were bursting with pride to be nominated last month, especially since the other two nominees were large successful companies: Mantovani 1946 and Tim Horton’s Ottawa Ice Dragon Boat Festival! Congratulations to the Ottawa Ice Dragon Boat Festival!

IT WASN'T ABOUT WINNING THOUGH

We really were glad just to be nominated. Being recognized by Ottawa Tourism is a big honour. When we succeed, our partners succeed which is what we are all about. It is a win-win. It not only puts a spring in our step, it motivates us and it drives us to go that extra mile.  We now have a super tour in the town of Carleton Place. There is a real restaurant scene on Bridge Street that needs some showing off!

The awards gala was held at the grand ballroom at the Brookstreet Hotel. We so wished we could have attended but designers of our visual brand, Henneman | Stanley Design, went on our behalf. They said the venue, the food, the awards show and the people there were fabulous!
